Today I wanted to introduce you to the Minecraft Server I play on regularly; with thanks to SgtSpike for granting me permission to link his server from my blog.
Note: All comments on this blog are my own opinions and are not as a representative of the Minecraft server.
The server I play on is called the Minecraft Crafters Community and has an extensive website; on which you can learn about the rules for the server here and how the whole Bitcoin thing works on this server here. These links feature predominantly in the navigation bar on the right for convenience.
You can find me on most days playing Minecraft here with my handle name 'crypto4coin'.
At the moment; I am also a level one mod on the server (lowest mod rank) so feel free to drop me a message if you need some basic assistance via the /tell system.
If you do contact me on the server; try to keep such messages specific to the server or for basic Minecraft game play tips (how did I make a Jukebox again?). I will have a comments section on some of my blog posts in future where I shall endeavor to answer any questions on this blog in greater detail than otherwise possible via the Minecraft in game chat system.
The server will also have the projects featured in this blog accessible on the build maps; type in the details to join the server (see the servers website for details) into Minecraft and join the server to see them. I can give out private warps to players who would like to come take a look, provided I am online at the time of requests. The creative map may feature some of my builds also, but only if they are cloned there at the discretion of the senior moderation team.
While the Bitcoin amounts paid today are much less than when I first got into playing Minecraft (thanks to an healthy interest in Bitcoin at the time); I find the server to be an enjoyable experience with good players being encouraged to share and play in a family friendly environment. Some server members are parents whom have invited their kids on the server after examining the server themselves. This and the strong moderation team, active on the server and forums, together ensure the rules are obeyed on the server and keep it as a family friendly environment (bias alert; I am a low level mod on this server).
In short; I came for the coin and stayed for the community.
With thanks to SgtSpike; I can provide links to the server via my blog where these builds are publicly available so that you readers may visit them. You are also welcome to join in on the server and make something even bigger and better than mine as I continue to grow and improve with my own builds.
Do note however that incidents of serious rule breaches are treated seriously on the server and visits to the server by malicious players, while unpleasant, are generally short in duration. That aside; new users are warmly welcomed and given the opportunity to make a home away from home on the server.
If you join the server; please just don't advertise this blog in global chat as there is a rule against advertising on the server (you did read the rules, right?).
The MC Crafters Community is a unique server with a few extra things that make it a good host for my builds, namely the Resources map for gathering materials for building things in build/survival is a very useful feature (no more open pit mines on the build world, lovely views secured).
Did I say Bitcoin?
Edit: Mine for Bitcoin program has ended early 2016, unless someone donates more Bitcoin the program will remain closed.
Yes I did, the server does pay small amounts of Bitcoin to players on the server with a maximum cap of currently 0.01 BTC per week (beats all those faucets available at the moment; whichever ones work still...).
Donations to the server by those wealthy in Bitcoin can be given to the Mine4BTC program via the Bitcoin address on the get paid page (NOT the Bitcoin widget on this blog). If you do wish to donate; please speak to the server owner, SgtSpike.
End of blog entry; see the next one shortly in which I provide disclosure about any income incentives on this blog.
