Hello and welcome to my blog,
I am making this blog as a working diary for buildings and things I recreate in the game called Minecraft. This is my first ever web blog so please be gentle with me as I learn the ins and outs of this new and interesting hobby.
I decided to take up blogging as a means to share with; at first other users of the server I play on and then later in setting this up the general public, details about the buildings/structures I construct in Minecraft and how I made each of them from concept through to completed product. Public sharing of the builds will be pending permission to link my blog to the Minecraft server and website I frequently play on, plus the option to download a Minecraft save file as I run through each build to ensure I don't miss any steps myself.
This blog will with the first few entries be a review of the process I used to complete a previously built structure (spoiler below) and detail to some extent the steps I used from concept to finished product. Sub topics would include: why I chose specific things to build, how I built the structure, what method I used to choose the size of buildings/structures, choice of materials and many other things that I will conjure up and compile posts as I go along.
As it is a mix between a working diary and documentation of a previous build, posts will be submitted sporadically so don't be surprised if one week I submit nothing and in the next four or five whenever I get that creative spark to make a post.
Overall this is my means to help Minecraft players of various skill levels to improve the style of play and resulting builds created by other Minecraft players. In turn, other players may provide comments and ideas that I could use in my future builds as I am no means an expert Minecraft player as you will see by the light usage of Redstone circuits and other such things I may learn more about with future build projects.
I am not an architect or any kind of expert that builds things beyond Minecraft; however I do have a reasonable attention to detail that should be enough to satisfy most people with the end results of any major builds I complete and in time reveal in this blog.
Pending permission by the owner of the server I play on; I will soon reveal my Minecraft handle and the specific Minecraft Server I use to play and build the structures I make that will be detailed in future blog pages. The server is a public facing one; which besides only allowing legitimate Minecraft accounts to join the server, is open for all people to join and thus an ability for me to point out where the builds are on display on the net for you all to view for yourself.
Finally, welcome to the internet where mistakes in punctuation, spelling and grammar are a regular occurrence but accept my sincere apologies regardless for
the numerous mistakes of that nature which will
occur in this blog. This will be the first and last time I apologize for
that though and I would appreciate it that future comments or constructive
criticisms of my blog are not made on this topic. I may alternate between spellings of some words depending on the
language settings of whatever computers I use to compile my posts.
