Current plans are up in the air as to what the servers next plan of action is after the end of the Mine for Bitcoin program.
Meanwhile, events for me beyond Minecraft and computers in general have dramatically cut my online hours with the server in recent months, where I've not been lured into other games like Rocksmith 2014 (many more hours than Steam has on their records), but I intend to eventually return once such things have settled.
I've changed the Bitcoin address for donations or other coin, as I don't have a hard wallet file address for accepting donations from Ethereum directly at present.
In short, I've not abandoned the blog but in the midst of a longer than planned break from the blog.

University of Oregon - MC Crafters Community Edition
The MC Crafters Community Server does have something more exciting happening now, with a new map project.
Server owner SgtSpike has opened up a map with the purpose of having the MC Crafters Community 'recreate the campus of the University of Oregon.'
Check out this thread here for more details and build style requirements if you want to help with the build.
Server visitors can find the map via /spawn CityBuilder , as the server lobby map does not have a portal available yet to this map.
Working on this map also adds to your Satoshi count in the mine4btc program which is another reason to come on board.
Comments and other information about the build can be asked on the MCCC forum.
Update: The Mine4Bitcoin program has ended early 2016.

Colour Coded Hoppers
A simple tip about carpets and hoppers.
Generally people know that you can place carpets on top of hoppers, useful for keeping them active (picking up item drops on top of hoppers) while allowing players to walk across them without the camera/view bopping up and down on bare hoppers.
A simple tip I recommend is to colour code your carpets to your hoppers, like how strands of electrical wire have different coloured insulation (the plastic around the wire).
Note: Post has images so be patient on slower net connections.
Crypto's latest adventures
Still alive and well update.
On the server, you can generally find me swinging enchanted diamond picks at Minefoxie's mega-pyramid, leveling down the interior of this 250 block high mammoth down to level 10.

Crypto Construction Instructions
Hi guys and a late welcome to 2015.
Today I take a break from various activities beyond the blog to outline a basic build process I use when compiling builds in Minecraft.
Note: Post has just the one picture, but it is heavy on words. :)

Skin Credit
Just wanted to give a shout out and ensure credit is given to the original developer of the Minecraft skin I modded into the blue diamond dude you can see on the background or in the flesh in Minecraft.

Many thanks to a fellow player on the MC server for jogging my memory. :)
