Still alive and well update.
On the server, you can generally find me swinging enchanted diamond picks at Minefoxie's mega-pyramid, leveling down the interior of this 250 block high mammoth down to level 10.
I have a pair of rail tunnels that continue from where I have finished work on my replica Brooklyn Bridge, currently to a stop about 1000 odd blocks away from where the tunnel started and plans to extend that much further when the pyramid is finished.
Outside of those is a clone of these two farms that work very well for me so far in 1.8 on the server, with the villagers being used to feed the iron farm as well. I did find using bonemeal on the crops in the villager breeder and removing doors in the Minecraft generated village speed things up very well.

Another plan somewhere along the way is a villager trading hall, which should provide some more opportunities to keep a steady flow of resources while working on the relatively simple large projects underway.
